Woodworking Travel Tours reserves the right in its sole discretion to accept, decline to accept, or remove any participant on a tour at any time for any legitimate, non-discriminatory reason, subject to the provisions of Section 10 of these Terms and Conditions.
2. Physical Fitness & Medical Acknowledgment
Woodworking Travel Tours involve physical activity including walking on uneven terrain, cobblestones, subway platforms, steps, and outdoor environments in varied weather conditions. By booking this tour, the participant affirmatively represents and warrants that:

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
• Woodworking Travel Tours’ total cumulative liability to any participant for any claim arising out of or relating to a tour shall not exceed the total amount paid by that participant for the tour from which the claim arises.
• Woodworking Travel Tours shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of enjoyment, missed connections, lost business income, emotional distress, or any costs arising from changes to transportation arrangements.
• Woodworking Travel Tours has no responsibility or liability for loss of baggage, money, valuables, documents, or other personal property. Participants are advised to carry travel insurance that covers personal property loss.
The liabilities and conditions set forth in this agreement apply regardless of the legal theory upon which any claim is based, whether in contract, tort, strict liability, or otherwise.
5. Third-Party Service Providers
Woodworking Travel Tours arranges services provided by independent third-party suppliers including, but not limited to, airlines, hotels, motor coach companies, rail operators, restaurants, museum venues, and local guides (collectively, “Suppliers”). Woodworking Travel Tours acts solely as an agent for these Suppliers and does not own, operate, or control their services.

Any voluntary refund or credit provided by Woodworking Travel Tours in the event of Force Majeure shall be at Woodworking Travel Tours’ sole discretion and shall not establish any precedent or obligation for future events.
7. Price
Tour prices are based upon exchange rates, tariffs, and taxes in effect at the time of publication. Fluctuations in these rates may result in a price adjustment prior to full payment of the tour price. Woodworking Travel Tours will provide written notice, which may be by email to the address provided at booking, of any price adjustment as promptly as reasonably practicable.
Price Protection: Once the tour price is paid in full, no further price adjustment will be made due to changes in exchange rates, tariffs, or taxes.

Failure to provide written notice of cancellation within such 14-day period shall constitute acceptance of the revised price, and the participant shall have no further right to cancel with a refund based on such price increase.
8. Cancellations by Participant
If you need to withdraw from a tour for any reason, written notice of cancellation must be submitted to Woodworking Travel Tours by email to the address provided at the time of booking or by certified mail. Tour Hosts
Jonathan Binzen
Deputy Editor, Fine Woodworking
Jon Binzen, Fine Woodworking’s deputy editor, has been documenting the field of furniture making as a writer, editor, and photographer since 1993, when he joined the magazine. He and Kevin Rodel wrote the book Arts and Crafts Furniture, a history tracing the international scope of the style, which had its roots and perhaps finest expression in England. With a particular passion for design, Jon has written about a range of makers and styles, curated furniture exhibitions, and spoken on the craft at schools and conferences.
For the past twenty years, he has been writing about exceptional makers for Fine Woodworking’s back cover. After college, where he studied literature and the history of art and architecture, he worked in furniture shops in Philadelphia. He lives in New Milford, Conn., with his wife, book designer Carol Singer.
Al Breed
Cabinet and Chair Maker, Carver
Growing up in New Hampshire, Allan Breed began buying, repairing, and reselling antique furniture in his early teens, and before he was 20 he was serving an apprenticeship in conservation at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. In the decades since, he has worked as a consultant and conservator on some of the most prominent pieces of American period furniture and has reproduced hundreds of pieces, including the famous Nicholas Brown Desk and Bookcase, the Newport secretary built by John Townsend that sold at auction for $12.1 million. Prized by Sotheby’s and Christie’s as an expert on period craftsmanship, and a longtime contributor to Fine Woodworking, Al also teaches classes in carving and period furniture making in his New Hampshire shop.
